Echoes of Earth

Echoes of Earth:
Finding ourselves in the origins of the planet

Author: L. Sue Baugh
Publisher: Wild Stone Arts; First edition (April 29, 2012)
ISBN-10: 0983857636     ISBN-13: 978-0983857631

I didn't want to play favorites on this site but there is always an exception to the rule. This book has become an all-time favorite of mine. In my opinion, no coffee table should be without it. This book is not only a treat to read but a delicacy to look at. In the book one can experience the breath-taking beauty and power of the world's oldest rock and mineral sites found in Western Australia, Greenland, Northwest Canada, and the Grand Canyon. Join photograph/writer L. Sue Baugh and her colleague, Lynn Martinelli, as they travel 54,000 miles to these remote places and discover a remarkable connection between Earth's oldest stone and our young human race. The author invites you to explore the mystery of what they encountered—that we carry the long history of the planet within us. We are all echoes of Earth. As of May 2013, the book won 5 major publishing awards—a Nautilus Award for photography/art, a Benjamin Franklin Gold Award for Nature/environment, two silver Benjamin Franklin awards for coffee table and gift books, and a gold medal Next Generation Indie Award for science. Echoes of Earth can be purchased on Amazon.com or in a limited, numbered edition with bonus materials on the publisher's website Wild Stone Arts at www.wildstonearts.com.
